Way up, at the highest peak of the Ferris wheel, she looked down on the lights below them. the wind blew against her childish face and from the corner of her eye, she saw him looking at her. He had a smile on his face as the night's breeze blew back his brown hair. She turned to him and her small pink lips crept into a secretive smile. She turned her gaze on the star-filled sky above her. He rested his elbow on the railings with his chin to his fist as he watched her stare in to the heavens.

She looked at his hand. How she loved his smooth slender fingers. She wondered what he could possibly have on his mind. She met his green eyes, oh how she adored them, and asked him where he would be taking her.

Nothing but silence. With one hand in his pocket and the other holding a glass of red wine, he walked inside his moonlit room, towards the window sill. He watched the rain trickle down the glass window. He reached out, as if he was caressing again the face of the girl he once knew. Her face flashed inside his mind, and her smile left him breathless.
